Dr. Ding is a licensed acupuncturist in Minnesota and an internationally recognized specialist in integrative pelvic floor and digestive health.

With more than 20 years of clinical experience spanning colorectal surgery, pelvic floor medicine, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine, Dr. Ding focuses on helping patients with complex chronic conditions that often involve the bowel, bladder, pelvic floor, nervous system, and gut-brain interaction.

Before relocating to the United States, Dr. Ding served as an Associate Chief Colorectal Surgeon and Pelvic Floor Center leader at Nanjing Municipal Hospital of Chinese Medicine, an affiliated teaching hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Her clinical work integrated conventional medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medicine to address challenging functional disorders.

Dr. Ding further expanded her expertise through research fellowships at the Minnesota Pelvic Floor Center and the Cleveland Clinic Digestive Disease Institute, where she participated in multidisciplinary research focused on pelvic floor dysfunction, gastrointestinal motility disorders, and functional bowel diseases.

Dr. Ding currently serves on the Acupuncture Advisory Council to the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is a Clinical Supervisor at Northwestern Health Sciences University. She is also Secretary-General of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies Pelvic Floor Medicine Specialty Committee and has contributed extensively to international education, research, and clinical innovation in integrative pelvic health.

A tenth-generation descendant of a family of Chinese medicine practitioners, Dr. Ding brings together traditional medical wisdom and modern evidence-informed care. She has authored multiple medical textbooks, published more than 100 academic papers, and holds five medical patents.

Through Zero Distance Acupuncture and Ding Pelvic Health Center, Dr. Ding is committed to building an integrated pelvic health platform that provides personalized, compassionate, and accessible care for patients seeking solutions beyond conventional treatment alone.

Dr. Ding is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
